Video Data Analytics Providing Contingency Alerts and Intelligence Collection
Taking traditional surveillance technology to the next level, Koretek offers advanced analytics, and biometric security solutions designed for use in a variety of applications.
- VideoLogix™ utilizes state-of-the-art technology that allows the computer to closely mimic the recognition abilities of a human being. Its built-in Human/Object Recognition and Tracking System (HORTS) are a real-time recognition and tracking system for video surveillance that offers a range of security solutions.
- One of the primary benefits of this software is that it is smart enough to know the difference between harmless motion such as a tree swaying, and threatening motions such as a person approaching a secure area
Performs Well in Varying Environments
The algorithms used by Videologix have been proven effective in a number of different environments. Its background subtraction technique is highly effective even under environment challenges such as moving cameras, shadows, or tree branches.
Reduces Number of Faulty Alarms
False alarms account for a significant percentage of all activated alarm calls, resulting in an unnecessary waste of time and money. For this reason, being able to determine whether something significant is happening is a fundamental benefit of intelligent surveillance. Videologix is a highly intuitive technology that uses false detection algorithms to tell the difference between a branch swaying in the breeze, for example, and a person crossing a secured perimeter. The software actually learns from false alarms, ensuring that the same mistakes are not repeated. As a result, data generated from the system is extremely reliable, boosting your business performance and reducing your overall operating costs.
Mimics and Exceeds Monitoring Capabilities of Human Security Guards
Hiring security guards to watch large amounts of video feeds can be cost-prohibitive and ineffective in that guards can’t always detect security threats on screen. VideoLogix provides an unmatched security solution that never suffers from the fatigue or boredom that often plagues human guards tasked with watching endless hours of video feed. By doing much of the work of human security guards, Videologix allows VideoLogix to monitor a far greater area without the cost and potential lapses associated with guards.
Improves Search and Playback Capabilities
Videologix motion detection technology allows you to limit and qualify the categories of searches you wish to perform. For example, you can specify that you wish to search for a human being only, for automobile only, or specifically for a red or green car. In this way, playback becomes considerably more efficient, and your time and resources can be put
to better use.
Retail Data Analytics / POS Integration:
For most people, video security is about capturing incidences of theft on camera. Koretek’s state-of-the art CCTV cameras provide the extra pair of eyes you need to monitor all aspects of your retail business. While visible cameras deter theft by the mere fact of their presence, hidden cameras let you monitor activities without making your presence known.
Designed for both small and large-scale retail applications, PACDM™ software takes traditional video surveillance to the next level. This new breed of analytical software easily integrates with your:
• POS systems
• ATM machines
• Card Access systems
• PACDM™ also acts as a data manager for Videologix™; and our
• Sentinel™ License Plate Recognition software
PACDM™ allows you to collect critical data about your operation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Effectively Monitor Remote Locations
Imagine being able to view all of your store operations at one time, from virtually any location. PACDM’s Remote Viewing Technology coupled with its latest add-on, Web PACDM™, allows you to do just that. Web PACDM™ lets you view and access data from multiple video and data sources. While it features all the standard benefits of our DVMS-based application, it uses a unique web-based server database to store critical data and transactional information. Because it is a web-based solution, you are no longer restricted to client server access. All you need is remote access and the Internet, and you can view your business premises from absolutely anywhere in the world.
Improve Business Processes
Remote monitoring of multiple store operations can be regarded as a security matter, but it can also be viewed as issue of productivity.
There are many ways PACDM™ running on an i3DVR server with Videologix™ can pinpoint areas of your business for efficiency improvement.
For example:
• Monitor customer wait times
• Examine high and low traffic periods and zones
• Analyze staffing requirements, and
• Monitor floor inventory.
By performing custom search queries, PACDM™ conducts thorough trend analyses to improve process flow. Use its powerful features to identify high and low traffic times, correct overstaffing and understaffing issues, and train your staff to provide superior customer service.
Web PACDM
• Monitor multiple facilities remotely
• Access critical data from a single or multiple DVMS systems
• View single or multiple cameras from various facilities
• Web based allows you to generate customizable software graphs
• and reports, even while watching live videos!
When travelling on business, you’ll have real-time data at your fingertips. The ability to configure and administer your system remotely saves you valuable time and money. These systems afford you the luxury of being where you want to be and the security of knowing you can monitor your business just as effectively.
License Plate Recognition Ability:
CONVERTING DIGITALLY IMAGED LICENSE PLATES INTO READABLE ELECTRONIC TEXT
Using standard 480-line resolution CCTV cameras and a special recognition algorithm, Sentinel LPR software captures and identifies license plate text in real time and with minimal latency.
Benefits of a Software-Based Solution
Unlike many other LPR solutions on the market, this LPR technology is software, rather than camera-based. In addition to capturing and identifying license plates, the software technology offers superior capabilities of storage and retrieval. In other words, all of that valuable plate information can be stored on a searchable database for later use and analysis. The software runs on standard PC hardware, is extremely easy to use and reliable, and can be linked to other applications or databases.
How the Technology works
Sentinel is a highly specialized image-processing software which allows the computer
to read photographs of vehicle license plates taken by video surveillance cameras. The cameras focus on the vehicle plates and, in a matter of seconds, the software extracts, reads, and records the series of numbers and letters imprinted on the plate.
Computer Vision Technology (CVT) is a new and rapidly growing field. While the process of converting digital images of vehicle plates into electronic text is extremely complex, it can be summarized in a few steps. First, CCTV cameras capture images of the vehicle. From that point, the software begins the following processes:
• Plate Localization Identifies precise location of license plate
• Plate Extraction Extracts image of plate from background
• Character Transformation Transforms license plate into standardized format
• Character Segmentation Separates Individual characters from each other
• Character Interpretation Invokes special algorithm to “read” entire plate
Cost/Performance Benefits for Retail Industry:
Most LPR systems rely on infrared illuminators (lighting) to allow the camera to take pictures at any time of the day or night. Pulsed infrared cameras can compensate for headlight glare, low sun, and reflections, making the LPR system more reliable at night and in adverse weather. Unfortunately, these specialty IR cameras are extremely expensive and many retailers are reluctant to invest in this kind of specialized technology.
The benefit of Sentinel is that our technology works with any standard, 480-line resolution camera. As such, retailers can perform quality automatic plate recognition without having to make a large upfront investment in IR camera-based technology. By making our system affordable and adaptive, we have ensured that retailers of all sizes can take advantage of the security and convenience provided by automated plate capture technology.
The LPR software gives you quality data that can be easily stored, retrieved, and analyzed. The sophistication of LPR technology combined with the affordability of conventional cameras give it a high cost/performance ratio, and make it one of the most efficient, cost-effective plate recognition solutions on the market.
