Grant Thurston, CEO and Founder
Leader of Koretek since its inception in 2004, Grant has steered Koretek through four consecutive years of revenue growth and increasing profit-margins while maintaining competitive end prices. His vision, entrepreneurial philosophy, marketing acumen and credence in ethical business practices has enabled Koretek to thrive during a period when many other digital video surveillance companies have declined.  Grant has over 10 years of experience in the technology sector, including executive information technology management positions held in both Canada and South Korea. Complimentary to his systems engineering and various technical certifications, Grant’s major field of study while attending the University of Toronto was data networking and network security.

Steve Fehr, Vice President of Business Development
Steve joined Koretek in 2008 as vice president of business development to manage the company's Canadian alliances and partnerships. Prior to joining Koretek, Steve was Director of Sales for a Canadian Software VAR representing enterprise resource planning systems and electronics design and simulation solutions.  Steve has also held positions in manufacturing engineering and operations management in the Electronics Service Sector where he was responsible for process integrity as well as overall CRM go-to-market strategy, CRM product marketing, and business development. A 15 year veteran of the technology industry, he received his diploma in Electronics Engineering from Niagara College of Applied Arts and Technology.

Koretek was founded in 2004 as a consumer electronics liquidator.  As customer inquiries regarding personal video surveillance equipment developed concurrently with Founder, Grant Thurston’s own curiosity, Koretek gradually began to source and offer products for these applications.  Cognizant of public interest and the potential growth for the digital video surveillance sector, Koretek initiated relationships with several core equipment suppliers and developed a marketing strategy to make the benefits of the technology both available and affordable to the general public.  Keeping stride with rapid evolutions in capability, increased functionality and decreasing associated costs, Koretek directed its focus from primarily a retailer of electronic devices to supplying the digital video surveillance needs of both the public and commercial sectors.

Today Koretek is positioned as a digital video equipment reseller as well as a complete integrator of IP-based digital video surveillance systems. With established supply chain relationships and expert knowledge of technology and practical applications, Koretek offers integrated solutions for IP-based digital video systems attainable at any budget.  Koretek approaches each system integration with a perspective on Customer objectives and needs, aiming for optimal system efficiency.  Where existing systems must be upgraded or retro-fitted, as much of the current infrastructure as possible is utilized in order to minimize costs.

At Koretek, our fundamental directive is customer service.  We believe our success is directly proportional to our Customer’s satisfaction.  Providing quality products and services at competitive pricing while delivering what we promise to fulfill customer needs according to agreed schedules is our on-going mission.
